☀ Upright — the core message

Your heart is like a deep sea, able to hold everyone's feelings without being drowned. You know instinctively what people need — a look, a sentence, and someone feels caught. That empathy is your most tender gift, and you deserve to keep a share of the same tenderness for yourself.

☽ Reversed — a reminder

When care turns into control, love suffocates. Are you packaging "you can't leave me" as "it's for your own good"? Real love opens the fingers and lets the other person breathe freely inside it.

In depth

🔮 Tarot symbolism

The Queen sits on a stone seat at the water's edge, and her cup is unlike any other — closed with a lid, guarding the deepest emotional secrets. Her feet are in the water, directly connected to the sea of feeling, her robe moving like waves. Water within water gives her that precision of intuition, and also means her boundaries dissolve most easily.

🧠 Jungian archetype

The deep-sea queen is emotional intelligence at its height, able to read what is never said. Her shadow turns love into a thread that pulls — Chicory's possessiveness makes "I care about you" into "you owe me". The discipline of individuation is learning to give unconditionally and then truly let go, keeping no hidden ledger of love.

🌸 Flower essence spectrum

When you give a great deal while quietly expecting something back, and can't stop managing the details of a loved one's life, Chicory keeps you company as the gripping hand opens, and you discover real abundance comes from flow that asks nothing.

Working with this card

1

Recognise — you may be…

You may be pouring effort into someone, saying you want nothing back while an invisible ledger inside records every neglect and every thank-you.

2

Allow

“I allow my love to move freely; no receipt required.”

3

Body awareness — notice…

Notice your hands. Over-giving can leave fingers gripping, or reaching for the phone to check for a reply. Open all ten fingers, turn the palms up, and practise the open gesture.

🫁 In the moment: a breath practice

In for five, letting love fill the chest like a rising tide; out for eight, imagining the tide withdrawing gently and taking nothing with it. Eight times — the rhythm of giving and then releasing.

🌸 Scent guidance

Apply MUNI ONE oil to your palms and your heart, then fold your hands over the heart centre and feel this scent as love you're giving yourself, requiring no one's answer.

Today's practice

Practise one quiet act of love today — do something small for someone without telling them, hinting, or waiting for thanks. Afterwards, say to yourself: this love was complete the moment it was given.

🧘 How this awareness works | MUNI × Joy of Living

Awareness is like snorkelling — you can see the coral and the fish and you don't have to catch them and carry them ashore. Love is the same: see it, admire it, then let it go on swimming freely. That's the most beautiful relationship there is.
