Wheel of Fortune
命運之輪
Quick read
☀ Upright — the core message
The wheel of life keeps turning. Some seasons are harvest, some are fallow, and you are standing at a turning point. You don't need to steer the wheel — only to hold something steady inside while it moves. Change is happening, and it brings not just challenge but the possibility you've been waiting for.
☽ Reversed — a reminder
Have you settled into a shrug? Not expecting the good, not resisting the bad, as though you'd handed over the remote. That isn't equanimity — it's a heart too tired to invest again. The wheel is still turning, and you deserve to feel its wind.
In depth
🔮 Tarot symbolism
TORA (or ROTA) is carved on the great wheel, and at the four corners are the living creatures — lion, eagle, angel, bull — the steady force of the fixed signs and four elements. Above sits the blue sphinx, the balance point of wisdom. On the right, the serpent slides down: the descending phase of the cycle. On the left, Anubis rises: a new beginning. The card says you don't need a fixed position on the wheel; you only need to accept that turning is what life is.
🧠 Jungian archetype
The Wheel corresponds to Jung's mandala — the complete cycle of life and a symbol of the Self. In Albedo, the soul begins to see that life is not a line but a spiral. Wild Rose is a giving-up on the cycle — not failing to see the wheel turn, but no longer believing it will turn to the good side. Jung reminds us that surrender and resignation are entirely different: the first trusts life, the second denies it.
🌸 Flower essence spectrum
When you feel numb to your life, without drive, letting the days pass one by one, Wild Rose keeps you company as curiosity is rekindled and you're willing to be in it again.
Working with this card
Recognise — you may be…
Every day may feel much like the last, with nothing much to look forward to. Not exactly sad — a grey, flat quality. When someone asks how you've been you say "fine", and even you aren't sure whether that's true.
Allow
“I allow life to interest me again”
Body awareness — notice…
Notice your eyes and your expression — has it been a long time since anything made your eyes light up? Look out of the window or up at the ceiling and let your eyes travel a full circle.
🫁 In the moment: a breath practice
Take a big breath in through the mouth like a yawn, letting the chest open fully, then breathe out slowly through the nose, ending with a soft "mmm". Three times.
🌸 Scent guidance
Put MUNI ONE oil on a handkerchief and carry it with you. When everything feels grey, take it out and breathe it in, letting smell break the habit of numbness.
✨ Today's practice
Do something today you loved as a child and haven't done in years — draw, blow bubbles, lie on the grass and watch clouds. It doesn't have to be good. Just let the body remember playing.
🧘 How this awareness works | MUNI × Joy of Living
Awareness is like seeds in a winter garden. Nothing is visibly happening, and under the soil there's constant movement. You think you've gone numb — and the fact that you're reading this is itself a seed pushing up.
