Rescue B (integration state)
Step 1 · State (recognise)
You have left the chaos or the impact behind, and body and emotion are still checking whether it's really safe.
Step 2 · Allow (the core)
I allow balance to return, without hurrying forward.
Step 3 · Back to the body
Notice your whole body, or the flow of your breath. The body is touching, the body is breathing.
In depth
【Emotional signature】
Rescue B is for the integration phase after an event, when the system begins to come down. You may no longer be in the chaos, and yet the aftershocks haven't settled — emotion, body and thought are still coming back into line. This isn't being stuck. It's a necessary transition, in which body and mind confirm that the danger has passed.
【Through the lens of neuroception】
What this card reflects: after an intense state, the body gradually stands down from alert and re-checks whether outside and inside now agree.
In this state, the body may show:
* Breath becoming fuller, though it still needs time
* Emotion surfacing occasionally, then receding on its own
* A wish to be quiet rather than to act
This is not a problem. The system is completing its process of coming back.
【How this essence supports you】
The support of Rescue B is in walking with the system through integration. It doesn't push action and doesn't ask for understanding. It lets the body slowly return everything that just happened to a place where it can be carried. When the inside is coherent again, the next step surfaces on its own.
【Today's practice】
Find a relatively quiet moment; sitting or lying down both work. Let your attention rest lightly on your whole body, or on the flow of your breath. There's no need to change the rhythm — just know that the body is breathing. Let "it has passed" be slowly felt by the body.
【Working with MUNI Scent】
Press a small amount of MUNI Scent into your palm, or open the bottle near your nose and take three easy breaths of it. Then rest a hand wherever in your body feels steadiest and most settled, and let scent and touch keep you company, without expecting anything to change.
Smell is the only sense that skips rational analysis and reaches the centres of emotion and memory directly —
let the scent be a bridge through the transition, carrying the body whole from the event back to now.
How to work with this
Body awareness here is not about hunting for what hurts,
and not about making the body become something.
It's about choosing a part of the body that is relatively easy to feel,
so attention has somewhere to rest.
This is not for the sake of moving forward,
nor to restore function immediately.
It is simply keeping company with the experience that is happening.
No intervening, no correcting — letting awareness unfold on its own, once it's allowed to.
For practitioners
If you are using this card with a practitioner:
* Keep your voice soft and present; avoid setting goals or naming next steps
* Watch for the breath steadying, the body's weight returning into support, the gaze returning to the room
* You might say: "There's no hurry. Integration is happening."
When you use MUNI Scent together:
In a shared scent environment, the body finds it easier to complete the shift from the event back into ordinary life,
so steadiness isn't demanded — it comes back on its own.
